LETTER WRITING
There are TWO types of letter writing
a)
Formal
Letter – This type of letter is written to convey official or public
information to people/offices whether they come under private or public sector.
This letter is written in a proper format and words limit and to the point.
b)
Informal
Letter – This letter contains personal feelings or information. It is written
to our near – dear and has no word limit.
Format of Letter writing
Parts of a letter
a) Sender Address- It is written on the left corner
on the top of the page.

Receiver
Address – It written
after sender’s address.

c) Salutation – It means some respectful words
to address the person we are writing the letter to.
Sir/Madam/Dear
d)
Letter
body – It
contains the main content of the letter. In formal letters, it is written to
the point and in limited words. Useless information should be avoided.
e) Complimentary Close – This is the closing line or
point of the letter. In it we write the closing words to end the letter.
