Drug Addiction is a worldwide problem. It has spread in India also. Young people are the victims of drug addiction. Thousands of people are suffering with drug addiction. This number is increasing day by day. This is a social evil. It eats into the vital of our youths. There are many reasons behind drug addiction. First of all there is lack education. There is lack of guidance. Youths fall in bad company and take to drug. There are many anti social people. They sell narcotics to the young people. Today there are many personal problems. People remain under stress and tension. They take drug to avoid tension and problems. If they take drug regularly, they become addicted to it. It includes; wine, opium, smack, smoking and marijuana etc. It is difficult to get rid of drug addiction. It destroys human and moral values of a man. Some people think smoking is common thing. Drug addiction kills us morally, physically and socially. But it is a kind of slow death. Students must be made aware of the ill effects of drug addiction. We must fight this evil. This is a blot on our society. We must unite to root out the evil of drug addiction. Govt. must strict action against those who encourages drug addiction among our youths.
